Cash Management Effect on Corporate Going-Concern Status: A Comparative Study of Manufacturing Companies and Deposit Money Banks in Ghana and Nigeria (2010-2014)

Abstract: The manufacturing sectors and the banking sectors of two emerging West African economies of Ghana and Nigeria are crucial for the survival of these two nation states. The manufacturing companies and the deposit money banks with up-to-date data were included in this study. Secondary data from the final accounts of these businesses constituted the bulk of the data. ANOVA, SPSS and Excel were employed to generate datasets. Altman Discriminant analysis method was applied to the datasets. The going-concern status for each domain was plotted. The study concluded that Ghana manufacturing companies and Nigerian deposit money banks showed a greater promise of continuity.
