Identifying Existentialist Philosophy of Education

Abstract: The purpose of this paper is analyzing and explaining the theoretical foundations of philosophy of education is existentialist perspective. Existentialist philosophy of education is one of the four famous philosophy that has long been discussed in education. The research method is gathering document study. In this method, resources are analyzed. Therefore, the author has been expressed arrangements, principles and history to explore and explain the emergence of ideas and philosophical thinkers of the approach in the field of education, curriculum, teaching and learning. The results show, existentialist philosophy of education is educated a person with independent identity. This person has selection freedom and it caused to his improvement.
